MISSING YOU IN THE PEW:  Summer has unofficially begun with the end of PREP, the Memorial Day Weekend and by the amount of empty pews we are already seeing in church.  It saddens me that the participation of our youth during the summer months is very minimal at most.  We would like to hear from YOU, the youth of our parish, as to what you would like to see or have offered at St. Peter’s that would keep your interest and attendance active around here during the summer months. One great way for our High School Students to help their parish is to volunteer their helping hands during our VBS.  Your knowledge, your creativeness, your energy would be much welcomed and appreciated.  You are the roll-models for your younger siblings, neighbors and parish members.  These little ones, follow, look up to, and listen to you.  (Don’t believe me?  Watch them sometime and see for yourself.  We parents, adults, often see ourselves in you when we stop to watch you too.) When you volunteer, the old cliché “your reward will be great in Heaven”, will leave you saying…”How much more reward could a person want?”  You will feel good about what you are doing, I guarantee it.  Mark the week of June 23-27, in your busy personal calendar, and volunteer at our VBS.  Just 2 ½ hours, Monday-Friday (6-8:30pm), will give you a life-time of memories and enough warm-fuzzies that will get you volunteering again and again!  Please help by contacting Deacon Ron at 553-4765.
